Luiz André Gama is a Brazilian contemporary artist based in Italy working with digital art, video installations, and live performances. He combines emerging technologies with a curious mind to create new artworks and unusual possibilities.
After years of experience as a graphic designer, in 2004 Luiz André Gama, aka Vj Lab, made his first live video performance in Brazil and for 3 years he played as Vj at various parties and nightclubs.
In 2007 he was invited to be the Vj of the biggest nightclub in the world, Privilege Ibiza, in Spain. Also in Ibiza, two years later, he opened the Ateliê Digital Lab with Daniele Alloca and Raquel Gaudard, a multimedia studio that developed audiovisual projects for European brands and events. Among them, the participation in one of the most popular TV shows in Spain with breathtaking video performance, one of the first 3D Dj booths made in history, created as a surprise for the Dj David Guetta.
In 2014 he moved to Italy and opened a graphic design studio with his wife Raquel Gaudard, the NeoHub Studio. A period in which he worked for brands from different countries and in parallel did projects related to digital art.
In 2021 Luiz André ends the NeoHub's activities to focus exclusively on his works on contemporary art and new technologies.
