Digging Inside Images

This series of artworks use a technique created by the artist that inverts the priority of elements in an image. The main traces of the image are dissolved and almost eliminated, while the secondary traces and details invisible to the human eye are amplified, becoming the main actors of the work. A kind of archeology in search of the essence of each image.

For the works below, the technique was applied to back covers of very old books, yellowed and dirtied by the action of time. Transforming aged empty pages into abstract landscapes.
